Xianxia Simulator
The Game:
Xianxia Simulator is a game where you play as an average cultivator, trying your best to survive in the cruel cultivation world. You would have to balance your life between cultivating, taking care of your relationship with randomly generated NPC, learning new skills and knowledge, exploring the world, and surviving from everyone and everything that tries to kill you.
Because the game is still very early in development, made by a game dev hobbyist who's doing this for fun, the game is very very far from perfect. You can play them. But right now, almost everything here is a placeholder for something else. So fair warning. You prepare yourself for tons of repeated text, imbalances, typos, bugs, and lack of content.

Limited Testing:
The new v.0.1.1 version (a slightly more polished version) is now in the testing phase. You can take part on the testing by becoming a Ko-Fi supporter. And if you like the game, do consider becoming a supporter and/or recommending it to other people :)

Has anyone managed to reach the 7th layer earlier than this?

what the hell, is there some kind of cultivation method other than qi gathering pills? its too stagnant
Is it just me or is the game really really really hard is there like some method that I don't know to make it easier?
i think i found a bug cuz every time i try to move on from an event that requires a decision, it wont let me move on.
Press H if it's being blocked by the bar underneath, if not check your resolution. (edit) You can also try to continue the dialogue but if you did both of those things then I'm not very sure.
I keep dying in my 80s. I keep taking the jade vitality pill but nothing improves

Has something changed with Twine? When I try to play now and hit an event that needs a decision, I'm locked as I need to pick a decision - even after I pick the decision.
I think its cus the developer lacks money to repair his computer. And lacks funds for the game.

If you're asking about getting "decision-locked", then depending on your resolution, it might be hidden under the toolbar. For this version, you can hide the toolbar using keyboard shortcut "H" or even change the text size using the "setting".

How about you leave a wheel of fate that allows players to obtain extra points at the allocation screen. I mean cultivation protagonists have more abilities cimpared to others.
I already have other plans for that, so it probably won't be a wheel of fate. At least that's not the plan. But it might change, I'm not sure myself 😊
I think you should also develop some stronger versions of the merididan purification technics. In my opinion it is the best technique, but the output becomes so bad after the 5th stage, that I had to help with many qi gathering pills in order to reach the 6th stage.
I struggel the most with the time you need to get to the breakthrough. You could also try to decrease the strength of the bottlenecks. I needed to reach the 6th stage like 7 qi gathering pills.😅
Still living? It would be a waste to not update such a good game!
Hey fellow daoist, I'm still living and working on the game😊. While I'm really happy for your enthusiasm, but I'm very open about my situation from the very start.
I'm not an actual game dev nor programmer, I already have full time job unrelated to tech industry. I'm doing this to have fun on my free time and because I really love the genre. I wish I could work more on the game, but I couldn't because of my very limited free time.
This project is a marathon. I like it, and I'm proud of it. So I will probably keep working on the game as long as its fun for me. I might later branch out and make other games, but I will keep coming back to the game, when I learn more and want to add more stuff.
Hopefully, when I actually release an update, it will be decent enough, so people would have fun playing the game 😁
I like the challenge of a hard game like this and already have fun playing it, but the only thing I dare to criticize is the increasingly slowing progress.
Means: Bottlenecks less hard, faster cultivation progress and I would like to know the use of learning techniques?
Could you make cultivation a bit more efficient, because it is basically impossible to reach further than 5th stage Qi Condensation in one lifetime, please?

I managed to get to the 5th stage by putting all my points into spiritual root, comprehension and a bit on psyche. But the game is too barebones, nothing really happens and then you die.

I normally do 3 roots, 7 comprehension and 6 psyche. What cultivation techniques do you practine in-game?

It is really barebones, buggy and nothing happen much. The dev is an obvious beginner 😊

Yes, I'm still alive. Still working on the game on weekends 😊 The usual, so many things to do, but not much time to actually do it.

On phone, there was a situation where a cultivator was looking down on a servant or something. So i stood up which was a bad idea since i was only at my first qi condensation, but then, i couldn't click on confirm because of the interface like inventory, sect and more. Even scrolling down doesn't work
Mobile is still kinda buggy. Version 0.1 was the first version that had mobile support. Hopefully the next update would be better on this regards.
I found a way though, there is an option where u can turn the web into computer-like screen as version, i don't know how to explain

Anyone know of there is a realm above qi condensation? Because I havent been able to get past the 5th level pf it without dying from lack of lifespan

My max Cultivation was 4th stage Qi Condensation
At the moment no... the max level you can reach before reaching end of the content message is 8th Qi Condensation.
Would be cool if there was a nonbinary gender option at some point in the future,,,

At the moment, you can't. Maybe in the far future when we have some kind of romance/relationship system.
Almost everything in the game is just placeholder for something. Including the prologue. It probably won't stay the same in the future.

Made an account just to comment. This game is really good, of course, there's still a lot of fixing and work that needs to be done but the potential is there. I've been keeping an eye on this for about a year, and I would definitely see this being a paid game on steam if there's enough content. There's a big audience for these types of games and I wish only success for you since this is really the only good looking cultivation game out there so far.
Thank you for the kind word. While I have no plan making this game a paid game on steam, I do really hope that the game could be game that's be good enough for that kind of status, and still a free game.
